The latest model from Nike’s premier training shoe line is officially here. Beloved by gym-goers, the Nike Metcon series is marking its 10th anniversary with its 10th model in August. Keep scrolling for all need-to-know info.
The Metcon 10 features a re-engineered Hyperlift plate for stability during heavy lifts, as well a soft yet responsive ReactX foam midsole suitable for high-mobility exercises like box jumps. A haptic print topcoat provides durability without adding much weight, while a sticky rubber outsole supports dynamic movements like lunges. A new midfoot band provides improved lockdown while also containing the laces, minimizing a potential distraction.
“With the Metcon 10, I no longer need multiple shoes for a single workout. Now I can lift heavy without feeling weighed down; feel light and free when I hop, jump and bound; and move dynamically without worrying I’ll slip,” says Darren Tomasso, Nike Trainer.
The Nike Metcon 10 releases August 4th via nike.com and retailers in men’s and women’s sizes. No price has been announced, but an MSRP around $150 seems likely. See detailed images of the training shoe below if you’re thinking about upgrading your gym gear.
